55th Birthday Raffle – Terms and Conditions
Campaign Dates: 9 May 2026 – 14 July 2026
1. Introduction
1.1 These Terms and Conditions ("Rules") apply to the St Luke's 55th Birthday Raffle ("the Raffle").
1.2 The Raffle is promoted by St Luke's Hospice, Little Common Lane, Sheffield, S11 9NE ("the Promoter").
1.3 St Luke's Hospice is licensed and regulated in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission under account number 5206.
1.4 Responsible Person: Anthony Saunders.
1.5 St Luke's Hospice is a registered charity (Charity Number 254402).
1.6 By entering the Raffle, you agree to be bound by these Rules.
1.7 The proceeds of the lottery will be used to support the charitable work of St Luke's Hospice. From the proceeds, prizes and reasonable expenses will be deducted in accordance with the Gambling Act 2005.
2. Eligibility
2.1 Entry to the Raffle is open to residents of Great Britain only.
2.2 Participants must be aged 18 years or over.
2.3 Underage gambling is an offence.
2.4 Employees of St Luke's Hospice directly involved in the administration of the Raffle and their immediate household members are not permitted to enter.
2.5 The Promoter reserves the right to carry out age and identity verification checks and may refuse entry where eligibility requirements are not met.
3. Ticket Purchase and Entry
3.1 Each raffle ticket costs £1 unless otherwise stated in promotional materials.
3.2 Participants may purchase multiple tickets.
3.3 Tickets may be purchased by returning ticket stubs via post or by purchasing online via the St Luke's lottery website.
3.4 Postal entries must be received no later than 12 noon on Wednesday 8 July 2026.
3.5 Online entries must be completed before midnight on Tuesday 14 July 2026.
3.6 Payment must be received in full before an entry is confirmed.
3.7 The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entries where payment has not been successfully processed.
4. Early Bird Entry
4.1 An Early Bird entry period runs from 9 May 2026 to 29 May 2026.
4.2 All eligible entries received on or before 29 May 2026 will automatically be entered into the Early Bird draw, where advertised.
4.3 Full details of the Early Bird prize, draw date and winner notification process will be set out in the relevant campaign materials and on the St Luke's Hospice website.
5. Draw Details
5.1 The Raffle draw will take place on Wednesday 15 July 2026.
5.2 Winners will be selected at random using a Random Number Generator which has been approved by a Gambling Commission approved third party test house.
5.3 The draw will be conducted in accordance with relevant regulatory requirements.
6. Prizes
A total of 56 prizes will be awarded as follows:
- 1st Prize – 1 prize of £2,500
- 2nd Prize – 5 prizes of £100 each
- 3rd Prize – 50 prizes of £10 each
Total prize fund: £3,500
6.1 Prizes will be issued by cheque.
6.2 Prizes will normally be distributed within 21 days of the draw.
6.3 If a prize remains unclaimed after 90 days it may be treated as a donation to St Luke's Hospice.
6.4 There is no alternative cash equivalent for non-cash prizes where applicable.
7. Winner Notification and Publication
7.1 Winners will be notified within 7 working days of the draw.
7.2 Winners may be contacted by post, telephone or email.
7.3 A list of winning numbers may be published on the St Luke's Lottery website.
7.4 Winners may be invited to participate in publicity relating to the Raffle, subject to their consent.
8. Responsible Gambling
8.1 St Luke's Hospice is committed to promoting responsible gambling.
8.2 Participants who feel that gambling may be becoming a problem should seek support from:

8.3 Participants may request to self-exclude from future St Luke's Hospice lottery or raffle communications by calling 0114 352 3000 or contacting St Luke's Hospice using the details set out in section 9.
9. Complaints
9.1 Any complaints regarding the Raffle should be directed to:

9.2 Complaints will be handled in accordance with St Luke's Hospice complaints procedures.
10. Data Protection
10.1 Personal data will be processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR.
10.2 Personal information will be used for administering the Raffle and contacting winners.
10.3 Where consent has been given, personal data may also be used to provide information about St Luke's Hospice fundraising activities.
10.4 Participants may opt out of marketing communications at any time.
11. Liability
11.1 The Promoter will not be liable for lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete entries.
11.2 The Promoter is not responsible for technical failures affecting online entries.
11.3 The Promoter's decision in all matters relating to the Raffle is final.
12. General
12.1 The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the Raffle where necessary due to circumstances beyond its control.
12.2 These Rules are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
